Recycle Beyond the Bin

Visit Recycle Row during the Live Well | Go Green Expo on Sept. 23, 2017 at the Curtis Culwell Center for a free opportunity to donate or recycle materials.

 

Outdoor Recycle Row (Opens at 9 a.m.)

A drive-through drop-off area will be available on the north side of Naaman Forest Boulevard to collect the following items:

Batteries — No alkaline batteries. Collected and recycled by Batteries Plus Bulbs.

Document ShreddingGarland residents only; must provide proof of residency. Limit four file boxes per vehicle. Secure on-site shredding by Balcones Shred.

Household — Clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, CDs, records and tapes, DVDs and VHS tapes, collectibles, home decor, kitchenware, toys and games. Collected by Goodwill Industries. View a full list of Goodwill's accepted donations.

Electronic Devices — Computers, laptops, cellphones, TVs, small electronics and small appliances. Recycled by Dell Reconnect.

Durable Medical Goods — Walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, bath chairs, etc. Collected by Comfort Keepers.

Bicycles — Gently used with no major mechanical issues. Collected by Spokes for Folks.

Cooking oil, fats & grease — Must be in a closed container, preferably plastic with a threaded lid. Collected by Garland Wastewater & Industrial Pretreatment.

 

Indoor Recycle Row

Indoor drop-off stations will be in the Curtis Culwell Center entry foyer:

Eyeglasses — Prescription glasses and sunglasses, reading glasses, frames and accessories in usable condition. Collected by Lions Club.

Medications — Unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications. Collected by Garland Police Department and Garland Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association.
