The City Center project will include reskinning City Hall with an updated façade, the addition of 153 apartment units next to City Hall to the north as part of the Oaks Fifth Street Crossing development, as well as the addition of a parking structure with spaces to serve the public, residential tenants and those accessing City Hall.
The City Center site will be closed for 18 to 20 months beginning in June, and will include the City Hall parking lot and a portion of the Granville Arts Center parking lot, which will be used for contractor parking and a staging area. Road closures will include the block around City Hall (with the exception of Fifth Street) from State Street to Museum Plaza Drive to Austin Street. Museum Plaza Drive will no longer exist as part of the new development plans. Please check the Project Schedule page for updated information.
Limited parking will be available on the southeast corner of Fifth and State streets for City Hall and Duckworth Building visitors, and those requiring ADA spaces. Visit the Parking Plans page for details.
