Texas Association of Fire Fighters Paul Kelly Humanitarian Award
Texas State Association of Fire Fighters recently honored Garland Fire Department’s Jerry G. Click with its Paul Kelly Humanitarian Award.
Jerry was honored July 29 at the Texas State Association of Fire Fighter's 44th Biennial Convention in Corpus Christi, Texas. Click was recognized for humanitarian efforts, which exemplify a firefighter's heart, dedication, and service to his fellow man.
David Riggs, president of the Garland Fire Fighters Association said, "Jerry is someone I can depend on when we have a fundraising activity for a charity. Jerry will always ask, 'What do you need me to do?' Every association needs a Jerry G. Click in their local. I'm truly blessed to have him in I.A.F.F. Local 1293."
The Paul Kelly Humanitarian Award is given to individuals who, through their commitment and dedication, have promoted a positive example and human welfare in what they do on and off duty.
The Texas State Association of Fire Fighters was established in 1938 and it is Texas' only professional, career firefighter's organization, representing more than 15,000 firefighter members and 172 affiliate locals. The Texas State Association of Fire Fighters is affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF).
