Disaster Recovery Information Available for Garland Flood Victims

FEMA will host a Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) at various Dallas County locations in the next few weeks. DRC locations and times include:

At the DRC, residents affected by recent floods will be able to get information about disaster assistance programs. Representatives at the DRC will help answer questions and refer impacted residents to other assistance agencies. Other available services include:

• Status of applications already being processed by FEMA
• Clarification of any written correspondence received
• Housing Assistance and Rental Resource information
Small Business Administration information
Crisis Counseling Program 
• Disaster Legal Services
• Disaster Unemployment
 
Property owners may be asked for several documents including proof of primary residence; proof of ownership; property insurance documentation; automobile registration, title and insurance documents; repair estimates and other disaster-related bills.
