The City of Garland is scheduled to move the Lyles House from its temporary location behind the Granville Arts Center to its permanent home in Heritage Crossing Tuesday, March 31. Heritage Crossing is located at Sixth and Walnut Streets, behind the Central Library in Downtown Garland.
The move will take place during business hours and will take the house through the north side of the Granville Arts Center parking lot, south on Fifth Street, and west on Austin Street to its final destination.
Roads along the route will close temporarily during the move. No on-street parking will be allowed on the day of the move until the house clears the route.
Cars left parked on the street after 6 a.m. on March 31 will be towed.
