The City of Garland is excited to host the 12th Annual Neighborhood Summit from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. This engaging and interactive event will provide the opportunity for attendees to explore trends that will help everyone to fully own and participate in the reality of a better, more sustainable and more beautiful Garland.
This year’s conference theme—Paths That Lead to Neighborhood Excellence—will explore the level of excellence we can consistently achieve if we own and act in our diverse stakeholder roles: residents, government entities, businesses, educators, youth, faith and nonprofit organizations.
The Office of Neighborhood Vitality is pleased to welcome Charles L. Marohn, president of Strong Towns, a nonprofit organization devoted to helping America's cities and towns achieve financial strength and resiliency, as our keynote speaker and discussion leader. This session provides an opportunity for attendees to join the conversation and bring ideas for better Garland neighborhoods.
Registration is $25 per person ($30 after Oct. 11) and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. For event details and registration, visit GarlandVitalNeighborhoods.org.
