What:  Community Meeting about the Pleasant Valley Road Public Works Improvements Project

The City of Garland’s 2004 Bond Referendum included improvements to Pleasant Valley Road from Firewheel Parkway to Richfield Drive.  The improvements include widening the existing 2-lane asphalt roadway to a 4-lane concrete, divided thoroughfare complete with curb and gutter, underground drainage, sidewalks and utility improvements.

On Tuesday, March 29, the City of Garland Engineering Department will host a community meeting to present information about the proposed project to adjacent property owners and other community members.  During this meeting citizens will learn what the road will look like, what specific improvements are proposed, what impacts the residences will experience during construction, how long the construction is expected to last, and how citizens will access their homes during construction.
For more information, contact Michael C. Polocek, P.E., City of Garland Capital Improvements Engineering Administrator, at 972-205-2178.
