Become an active participant in the well-being of Garland’s neighborhoods and the community’s success. Get involved in DIY Garland, a partnership program providing guidance and support for homeowners seeking to complete home improvements to existing homes and enhance neighborhood value. The City of Garland, Garland Area Habitat for Humanity and Home Depot are the program’s core partners.
A core element of the DIY Garland program is the expansion of homeowner capacity to maintain the condition of their home and contribute to overall neighborhood vitality. Classes and other resources are available to establish a foundation of citywide housing and neighborhood goals and the contribution homeowners can make to this effort. Upcoming classes in the DIY Garland Curb Appeal Series include:
• Exterior Painting – Feb. 27 • Fence Maintenance and Repair – March 27 • Resuscitate Your Landscaping – April 24 • Windows and Doors – May 29
