During Labor Day weekend, temporary service disruptions will take place as a result of an electric service upgrade at City Hall. The installation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30 through 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Emergency services, such as 9-1-1, will remain available to the public; however, the following services will be impacted intermittently during the weekend:
• Some of the City’s automated phone systems will experience temporary interruptions. • City websites will experience temporary interruptions. • CGTV, the City’s government access cable channel, will not be viewable from cable television Friday evening through Tuesday morning.
CGTV on-demand capabilities via the website will be available except during intermittent website disruptions.
The electric service upgrade is part of the City Hall infrastructure improvements included in the City Center project underway in Downtown Garland. For project updates, visit the Downtown Redevelopment web page.
