City of Garland Changes Stage 3 Watering Schedule Effective Immediately

Effective immediately, the City of Garland implements a new watering schedule for both its residential and business customers. This change is necessary due to unexpected peak demands on our water system under the previous city-wide Saturdays only watering schedule.

Customers will be allowed to water their lawns just once per week based on residential trash pickup schedules. Garland businesses will base their watering day on the residential schedule at their specific location(s). See map attached below.

Any business or resident who previously applied for and received a water variance is allowed to continue to water according to the terms of that variance. All others are asked to water their lawns on their new designated watering day.

“Garland Water Utilities appreciates its customers' efforts in conserving water. Through their diligence, we have successfully met our reduction goals,” said John Baker, Managing Director. “We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause, but it is necessary to assure system reliability during high demands,” he added.
