Lyles House and Pace House Relocation
Garland City Council approved a change request to relocate the Pace House and Lyles House to a temporary holding location behind the Granville Arts Center for up to six months while potential long-term solutions are studied. The Lyles House was moved on May 28 and the Pace House was moved on May 31. See photos here.
Installation of new electric transformers to serve City Hall has begun. The existing system has exceeded its recommended electrical load and needs to be upgraded.
Replacement of a 60-year-old water main in Austin Street (between Fifth Street and the KCS Railroad) is under way. During this installation, vehicular traffic cannot access the Granville Arts Center or City Hall parking lots by way of Austin Street.
