The City of Garland’s Community Multicultural Commission (CMC) is preparing to host the Mosaic Multicultural Festival of Art, Dance and Music on Saturday, May 25, 2013. The event will be staged at the Hiep Thai Food Plaza, 3347 W. Walnut Street in Garland from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The CMC is seeking food caterers, vendors, artists, performers, and dance groups to showcase during the Mosaic Multicultural Festival. Anyone interested in participating should contact the chair of the Mosaic Multicultural Festival, Minerva Moreno at 972-271-1913 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
“The Mosaic Festival is a wonderful opportunity to foster a greater understanding and cooperation among all ethnic groups,” says Minerva Moreno. “We are eager to hear from potential participants who will help celebrate Garland’s diversity.”
In past years, the event has featured performing artists, representing various cultures from South America, Asia, Africa, Europe, North American, and Central America, as well as displays of artwork, clothing and much more. The event is free and open to the public.
