Help Write Your Library's Future

Where do you see Garland’s libraries in five to 10 years? What kind of services or materials would you like to see at your neighborhood library?

The Garland Library is looking to the future and needs this type of input from residents to help develop a Master Plan to shape the future of Library services. The plan will address strategies for the department, as well as facilities, staffing and technology. The plan will include goals, measurable objectives and specific activities that will meet community expectations for the next three to five years.

Garland residents may offer their input by attending the upcoming City-sponsored community forums:

  • 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, North Garland Branch, 3845 North Garland Ave., 972-205-2803

  • 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, South Garland Branch, 4845 Broadway Blvd., 972-205-3931

  • 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, Central Library, 625 Austin St., 972-205-2517

  • 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, Walnut Creek Branch, 3319 Edgewood Dr., 972-205-2587
