Talent Acquisition Manager Lilly Clarke was recognized by the NAACP Garland Unit during the 27th Annual Freedom Fund Brunch on Saturday, Sept. 16.
Lilly received the 2017 Bridge Builder of the Year Award for her innovative strategies in talent acquisition and hiring for the City of Garland. She was recognized among the community, in the presence of City Council, community leaders and City Manager Bryan Bradford.
Lilly has worked for the City of Garland for more than 14 years, serving in a variety of human resources functions. She has been the talent acquisition manager since June 2016. Lilly manages the City’s talent acquisition strategies, including candidate engagement and recruitment, social media initiatives, and executive outreach and recruitment efforts. Lilly has successfully coordinated and led significant community-related events in conjunction with the Garland Community Multicultural Commission (CMC) and the Garland Community Leaders Group, such as the 2010 Census outreach efforts, the Mosaic Festival and, most recently, the Garland Open Dialogue Forum.
“The City of Garland is fortunate to have dedicated ambassadors, such as Lilly, who enthusiastically promote the City’s values and recruit highly qualified and engaged candidates who share similar values and beliefs,” said Senior Managing Director Priscilla Wilson.
