The City of Garland’s annual Warrant Recall Day will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 24, at Garland Municipal Court, 1791 W. Avenue B. During this time, individuals with active Garland warrants will have a chance to enter a plea before a judge, make arrangements to pay any balance on outstanding tickets and have their warrants recalled.
Warrant Recall Day comes just before the 2017 Great Texas Warrant Roundup, which begins Feb. 25 and ends March 5. More than 300 law enforcement agencies statewide will participate in the roundup, at which time individuals with any outstanding warrants could be arrested. If Garland municipal court warrants are not cleared before the roundup, City Marshals and police officers may show up at your home or work, arrest you and take you to jail.
Those who wish to take advantage of Warrant Recall Day must come to the Garland Municipal Court with a valid ID and be prepared to pay their unpaid fines. For more information, contact the City Marshal’s Office at 972-205-4069.
