Garland Pawsibilities, in partner with Garland Animal Services, invites the public to volunteer their time and skills to find homes for animals at the Pet Adoption Center (PAC), 813 Main St. in Downtown Garland.
The PAC is staffed entirely by volunteers who provide service to customers and care for the animals. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age, and younger volunteers can participate with parental/adult supervision. A short orientation is required before volunteers are allowed to sign up for work shifts. Those interested may sign up for the next orientation by emailing Volunteer@GarlandPaws.org. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other large groups may be accommodated as needed.
The PAC is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The facility is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Garland Pawsibilities is also recruiting volunteers to assist during adoption events on Saturdays. Those interested can view a schedule and sign up for an adoption event at Meetup.com/GarlandPAWS.
