Apply for Garland Code Compliance's Lawn Care Assistance Program
City of Garland’s Code Compliance Department is now accepting applications for its Lawn Care Assistance Program. The program provides summer mowing for seniors age 60 and older as well as disabled Garland homeowners who are physically and/or financially unable to maintain their yards in compliance with City codes and have no other assistance available.
Applications are available at the Code Compliance office, 210 Carver St., Suite 101. Residents who are unable to pick up an application may call 972-485-6400 and request a mailed application.
All applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A list of required documents will be included with the application packet. Completed applications and required documents must be submitted by March 1, 2017, to Code Compliance—Lawn Care Assistance Program, 210 Carver St., Suite 101, Garland, TX 75040. Applications should be complete and all documentation must be provided at time of submission.
Please note that prior participation does not automatically reinstate assistance. Applications must be resubmitted annually for consideration.
Space is limited and based on need and available funding. Lawn Care Assistance funds are made available through a federal grant program; consequently, Garland Code Compliance can only approve the amount of residents permitted by funding.
