City of Garland Earns Healthiest Employer Recognition
On March 10, the City of Garland was recognized as one of Dallas Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers for the third consecutive year. Of the 40 local companies recognized, the City of Garland’s wellness program received 10th place and was one of only two municipalities awarded. Wellness and Training Program Manager, Karrah Hernandez, and RN/Health Advisor for the City, Rita White-Ross, accepted the award during Dallas Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers in North Texas Awards Luncheon and Health Fair.
The Healthiest Employer award is given to organizations that demonstrate a high level of commitment to specific areas of wellness: culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis. A special thank you to everyone who has taken part in the City's wellness initiatives and programs, making them such a success!
