September 3, 2014  On September 3, 2014 the Garland Health Department (GHD) received a report of laboratory confirmed presence of West Nile Virus (WNV) in mosquitos collected in the 1400 block of E. Miller Road.

This year's Expo includes several new features, such as the Stop & Learn sessions, which will be presented at various exhibitor booths throughout the event. The event is set for Saturday, Sept. 27, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Curtis Culwell Center, 4999 Naaman Forest Blvd.

Public Hearings Scheduled for GDC
September 3, 2014  The City Council has scheduled public hearings to review the current draft of the Garland Development Code (GDC) and the proposed Zoning Map. The first public hearing will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11. Additional hearings, if needed, will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18 and Thursday, Sept. 25.

Weekly Lawn Watering Resumes
August 29, 2014  Effective Sept. 1, Garland Water Utilities customers will be allowed to water their lawns with sprinklers or irrigation systems one day a week through the end of October. Customers will be allowed to water their lawn on their designated garbage collection day.
