Fire Prevention Week is Oct 5-11.

The Fire Department will have a city wide Open House Monday Oct. 6, 6 to 8 p.m. This will be a great opportunity to meet your neighborhood first responders. You will learn about emergency medical services and receive important information on fire safety. Click here to find the fire station closest to your home?

Garland Fire Department Smoke Alarm Program provides free smoke alarms for qualified residents. Please call 972-781-7148 for information

The Garland Fire Department does not install child safety seats. Please contact your local Department of Public Safety office for Certified Car Seat Installers.

Citizens Fire Academy 

The Citizens Fire Academy is open to anyone over the age of eighteen who lives or works in the City of Garland. This program is intended to familiarize citizens and associates of the services we provide, how we operate, and why we do things we do.

Class hours are from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.  on Thursday nights. To apply, download the Citizens Fire Academy Application.
