Ebola Information

On September 30, 2014, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notified Dallas County Health and Human Services that a patient being treated at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas tested positive for Ebola. Dallas County Health and Human Services, the Texas Department of State Health Services and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention personnel are currently identifying and monitoring the close contacts of the ill individual for symptoms of Ebola. Should any of the close contacts be identified as Garland residents, the Garland Health Department will be notified and measures will be put in place to monitor the contact’s health.
