Zoning & Development Review

The Zoning & Development Review Division of the Planning & Community Development Department is charged with administering the land development process to ensure compliance with the City's development regulations.

Staff leads the Development Review Committee (DRC) by facilitating pre-submittal and technical review meetings and collecting DRC review correspondence for applicants. Staff then prepares and presents site data and project recommendations to the Plan Commission and City Council regarding the following requests: 

• Current Proposed Zoning Cases
• Change of Zoning
• Planned Development District -- Concept Plan, Detail Plan, Amendments
• Specific Use Permit
• Subdivision - Platting
• Variance or Waiver to Development Standards
• House Conversion
• Tree Removal and Mitigation

Development Review staff also provides the following services:

• Zoning Information and Development Standards
• Copies of Subdivision Plats
• Zoning Verification Letters
• Property Addressing
• Street Name Change
