Q: What is the Fall Trash Bash?
A: Keep Garland Beautiful sponsors the annual Fall Trash Bash, a program supported by the Trinity River Environmental Education Society’s Trinity Trash Bash. Q: How do I register for the event?
A: You may download the registration form from our website. Please print out the PDF form. You may return it to Josué Diaz at firstname.lastname@example.org, fax it to 972-205-3434 (Attention: Josué Diaz), or mail it to Environmental Waste Services Department, 1434 Commerce St., Garland, TX 75040. Please fill out the form completely just in case we need to contact you. We will not share your information.
Q: When is the registration deadline?
A: You may register the morning of the event at the Granger Recreation Center (Annex), 1310 West Ave. F, Garland, TX 75040. We recommend participants register ahead of time so we can keep a head count for the event.
Q: Where do I pick up my clean up supplies?
A: We will send out a notification the week prior to the event. You may pick up the materials Wednesday and Thursday prior to the event at Environmental Waste Services Department, 1434 Commerce St., Garland, TX 75040 or on the morning of the event at the Granger Recreation Center (Annex), 1310 West Ave. F, Garland, TX 75040.
Q: Can I pick my own clean up location?
A: We encourage community members to choose their own location in their own neighborhoods. If you know of an area that needs some attention you can select that location. Indicate the general location on your registration form. If you do not wish to choose a location then let us know and we will assign a location throughout Garland. Be aware that it may not be near you.
Q: Can anyone participate in the event? How young is too young?
A: Anyone can participate in the event. We encourage participants to organize community clean up groups. If you're thinking about organizing a youth group or bringing a child you may sign them up as long as they are over the age of 6 and accompanied by an adult.
Q: What do I do with the litter I pick up?
A: Drop off their bags of litter starting at 11 a.m. at the Granger Recreation Center (Annex), 1310 West Ave. F, Garland, TX 75040. Stay for the volunteer picnic.
Q: What is the volunteer picnic?
A: The volunteer picnic is where participants can come enjoy live DJ music, food, and a wacky awards ceremony. The volunteer picnic starts at 11 a.m. at the Granger Recreation Center (Annex), 1310 West Ave. F, Garland, TX 75040.
