Development Opportunity

The Garland and Miller TIA offers an opportunity to redevelop the long-vacant Garland Shopping Center with functional, but smaller-scale retail.  There is also the opportunity to introduce somewhat higher density housing products, perhaps with a tot lot, small park, or other stabilizing public space buffer.  A key objective for the City in this TIA is to provide better connectivity between commercial uses and the surrounding neighborhoods.
