The City of Garland presents several FREE movies throughout the year at the Plaza Theatre in downtown Garland. They are first come, first served general admission shows. No tickets are required. Popcorn, candy, soda and water are available for $2 each.

A Palestinian Jew, forced into slavery, seeks revenge against the friend-turned-rival who put him in the galleys. Though released in 1959, “Ben-Hur” remains a cinematic marvel, and was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress for being a "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" motion picture. Tickets: admission is free and open to the public.
Abbott & Costello Meet the Mummy
October 29 at 7 p.m.
While stranded in Egypt, Abbott & Costello stumble upon a sacred medallion that points to buried treasure guarded by a legendary mummy. Find out what happens when the classic comedy team meets the famous monster in 1955’s Abbott & Costello Meet the Mummy. Tickets: admission is free and open to the public.
