Christmas On The Square

Garland held its annual Christmas on the Square event and tree lighting ceremony on Thursday, December 6, 2012.  The festivities included horse-drawn carriage rides, snow tubing hills, pictures with Santa, holiday shopping and a live ice carving demonstration.  Attendees were entertained by several Garland ISD school choirs, the Garland Employee Carolers, and the Lakeshore Brass Choir while enjoying a variety of seasonal treats.  WFAA Channel 8 news anchor Gloria Campos helped Santa lead the countdown to the lighting of the City Tree, which can be viewed and enjoyed on the Downtown Square throughout the month of December.
