Pet Adoption Center Volunteers

Will you help our new Pet Adoption Center by donating your time?  Volunteers are needed to walk dogs, assist staff with adoptions, and help with shelter activities.  No experience is necessary.  If interested please sign up for orientation at petvolunteer@garlandtx.gov. Orientation is mandatory and is held monthly on a Wednesday at 4 p.m. Volunteering is a great way to contribute to your community!

Must be at least 18 years old to volunteer.

Adoption Fee:

All our animals in this facility are ready for adoption.

$35 - Dogs, cats, puppies and kittens that have been previously spayed or neutered.
*Price includes the rabies vaccination and the City of Garland registration.

$80 - Dogs, cats, puppies and kittens that have not yet been spayed or neutered.
*Price includes sterilization by our city veterinarian, rabies vaccination and the City of Garland registration.

Adoption Hours:

Our Pet Adoption Center is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1 – 5 p.m.

Low Cost Pet Sterilization and Vaccination Clinic

The new facility will also host regular low cost sterilization and vaccination clinics for family pets. Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) offers these services four times a month at our new Pet Adoption Center.

FREE Spay & Neuter for Dogs Living in 75041 Zip Code
Garland Animal Services is offering FREE spay or neuter surgeries (also known as “fixing”) to dogs living in the 75041 zip code, thanks to a grand from PetSmart Charities®. Must have ID with Garland address of zip code 75041 (or utility bill).

Drop off 8 to 9 a.m. & Pick up 3 p.m.
No food after 10 p.m. the night before surgery.
