Recycling Center hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and Saturday, 8 a.m to 3 p.m.
Reporting Observations of Theft of Recyclable Materials
The Garland Recycling Center accepts the following materials:

Advertising inserts included
Loose or tied bundles
No wet or sunburned newspapers
Tin and Steel Cans
Food cans
Empty aerosol cans
Please rinse food cans
Aluminum Cans
Please flatten
Scrap Metal & Aluminum
All other metals
Appliances
Glass Bottles and Jars
Clear and colored glass
Rinse clean, remove lids, metal or plastic rings
Please, no windows, ceramics, mirrors, or light bulbs
Plastics
#1 & #2 plastics
Rinse clean
Remove lids and caps
Soda bottles and other containers
Milk and water jugs
Six pack rings
No plastics coded with 3,4,5,6, or 7
No plastic grocery sacks or egg cartons

Mixed Paper - white office paper, computer paper, chipboard such as cereal and canned drink boxes, junk mail, brown paper bags and telephone books
